Conventional Completions must be placed to produce oil or gas far enough from the water contact to prevent conning. Our technology removes the need for work-overs and can produce across the full range of oil gas and water as shown here. Within a single reservoir our casing sharing crossover production shroud or multi-production/injection crossover can be used for water disposal, flood or shut-off while providing for gas blow-down.
Conventional technology for two independent flow streams through a single casing provides parallel tubing strings that can provide divide the flow capacity in half, but cannot provide 2-for-1 Well Costs. As shown to the left, Oilfield Innovations' patented technology can provide the flow of two wells through a single production casing to provide 2-for-1 Well Costs.
Oilfield Innovations Multi-Injection-Production-Crossover (left above) illustrates that two (2) full size sub-surface safety valves (SSSV) can be used to control full size flow streams, whereas conventional parallel dual strings (above right) must cut the flow rate in have and use half sized SSSV.
Oilfield Innovations have patented a "magic" crossover that can control two full sized flow streams through a single well bore production casing. Controlling the internal tubing above and below a crossover can, like magic, provide 2-for-1 Well Costs. Watch the above Video.
Our MPIX tool is a simple crossover with no moving parts. The key to understanding how it works is to realise that is it uses a simplistic switching of internal and annular flows, as shown to the left. Why crossover flow streams? Its simple. Conventional tools control the internal flow stream of the tubing. By putting conventional field proven flow control systems on both sides of the crossover, two (2) independent flow streams can be controlled. All conventional completion jewellery can be applied to both flow streams simply by placing them on either side of our Multiple-Injection-Production-Crossover (MPIX). Its not magic... it is simple oilfield engineering at its best.
Well Integrity throughout the life of an explosive hydrocarbon well is a critical factor of well design.
Oilfield Innovations' Pipe-in-Pipe Concentric Flow Multi-Injection-Production-Crossover (MPIX) has the same well barriers as conventional wells but provides 2-for-1 well costs.
The primary barrier comprises a conventional cap rock, production casing, production packer, tubing and sub-surface safety valves (SSSV) arrangement.
The secondary comprises a conventional production casing wellhead, annulus valve, tubing hanger and production tree valves.
Conventional "A" annulus pressure monitoring of well integrity is applicable for both flow streams.
